We collect and temporarily store the following information:
- Your email address (to identify your saved work)
- Team name, season, and division
- Player names, jersey numbers, and positions
- Coach names, certification numbers, and coaching levels
- Team manager name and phone number
This information is used solely to generate roster label PDFs and is not made public or shared with third parties.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to:
- Allow you to return and continue editing your team (if browser cookies have not been cleared)
- Generate your PDF download
- Provide support in case of errors
- Improve our service through anonymized analytics
3. USE OF COOKIES
We use cookies to associate your web browser with the team data you’ve entered. This allows you to return to previous steps in the process of creating a scoresheet label.
These cookies do not track your browsing activity on other websites, and they are not used for advertising purposes. By using our site, you agree to our use of cookies in this limited, functional capacity.
4. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY – COPPA COMPLIANCE
We collect player names, including those of children under 13, only for the purpose of generating roster labels. This information is entered by a parent, coach, or team manager.
Chirp does NOT:
- Market to children
- Collect contact information from children
If you believe we’ve collected a child’s information inappropriately, please email us at hello@chirp.hockey. We will investigate and delete the data if necessary.
5. DATA RETENTION
We retain team information for up to 6 months after your last use of the site. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us..
6. DATA SHARING
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our service or for marketing insights.
7. SECURITY
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, and payments are securely processed through Stripe. However, no internet service is 100% secure, and you use the site at your own risk.
8. YOUR CHOICES
You may request that we delete your data at any time by contacting hello@chirp.hockey. We will confirm and process your request within 10 business days.
9. MARKETING USE OF SAMPLE LABELS
Chirp reserves the right to use scoresheet label designs created through our system for marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to:
- Social media posts
- Website examples
- Sales presentations
- Demonstrations of product features
In most if not all cases, we will replace player names, coach names, and identifying team information with fictitious or generic placeholders before publishing. You may request that Chirp not use your submitted label for any public marketing purposes by contacting us at hello@chirp.hockey.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted with a new “Effective Date.”
